Corale Dorn
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Owner
I’m a second-generation veterinarian. My parents owned their own clinic in western South Dakota. As you can imagine, this introduced me to the veterinary field at a young age and I didn’t want to be anything else. I studied for eight years to obtain my degree and continue to expand my knowledge with one hundred hours of continuing education every year. While in school, I met my husband and together we opened Dells Vet. As a doctor, my biggest responsibility is to identify areas where my patients might get sick and prevent it. But sometimes our plans don’t turn out so I also discover the source of a patient’s sickness and remedy it. Besides work, I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy any outdoor activities but triathlons are my favorite!

Edgar Gonzalez
Bilingual Heard Health Specialist
I was born in Mexico City and grew up around animals. Ever since I was a child, I have loved animals and wanted to help them live happy and healthy lives. Because of this and my passion for serving others, I attended school at the Universidad Autonoma Metropolitana. Post-graduation, I spent five years working with large animals in Minnesota. After my introduction to the midwest, I moved a little to the west and joined Dells Vet. As the Bilinigaul Heard Health Advisor, I handle cattle preg checks and also give training to dairy farm employees on the best practices. Outside of the practice, I love caring for my two Scottish Terriers, even if they can be little trouble makers.

Nicole Wrage-Hansen
Certified Veterinary Technician
I’ve lived in Dell Rapids all my life. Growing up in a rural community helped me develop a love for animals and I enjoyed taking care of them. I got my first opportunity to do that professionally when I was in high school. At sixteen, I became a Kennel Attendant at Dells Vet and cared for the pets that were boarding with us. After completing my education, I became a Certified Veterinary Technician and have continued working at Dells Vet. In addition to caring for animals, I’m also passionate about helping owners and teaching them more about their pets or livestock. Outside of work, my husband and I have four dogs, seven cats, two calves, and many ducks, turkeys, and chickens. I also enjoy riding and training my horses.

Alexis Nuño
Veterinary Assistant
I spent most of my childhood in Sioux City and since I was a young girl I’ve always wanted to work with animals. I studied at Iowa Tech Community College and also got working experience at a local clinic. I ultimately decided I wanted to further my education and that’s what led me to Dells Vet. I’m passionate about veterinary medicine for a lot of reasons but one of them is because I get to help make a difference in the lives of animals and their owners. At Dells Vet, I provide support to the veterinarians and technicians, quality care for the patients, and ensure a clean and comfortable environment. In my free time, I enjoy being with my dog. I also like to go exploring and taking pictures of things I find interesting, A lot of which are of my dog.

Courtney Durbin
Veterinary Assistant
I grew up in Georgetown, Maryland. I have always had a passion for animals as long as I can remember. As I grew interested in the love for medicine, I realized the best fit would be a career path in vet med. Settling into the Sioux Falls area brought me to my position here at Dells Vet. My position here helps me further my knowledge in the healing and care of animals along with my own pets. Outside of work I enjoy curling up with a good book, working on my many craft projects and of course (weather permitting) I love to take my cat Balthazar out for a stroll around town.

Selena Rademacher
Pre-vet student from SDSU
I grew up in Waconia, Minnesota and am working towards my Animal Science degree at SDSU in Brookings, South Dakota. When I was about 10 years old, I have wanted to become a veterinarian. I love working with animals, especially in a way that I am able to help with their care. I am a part time assistant this year here at Dells Vet working a variety of tasks in the clinic from the routine appointments, surgery recovery, and day to day duties. This position is helping me grow my skills in large animal and small animals as I take my courses toward my Animal Science degree. Outside of work I love to spend as much time in the outdoors, hiking, snowmobiling, spending time with my family as well as my animals.

Robert Ferock “Bobby”
Pre-Vet Student from SDSU
I grew up in Sioux Falls. My passion for animal agriculture brought me to the interest of the veterinary world. I’m currently assisting technicians and Dr. Dorn here at Dells Veterinary Services with farm calls along with small animal appointments giving me hands on experience along with extending my learning while taking classes at SDSU. My position here at Dells Vet also increases my knowledge of all aspects of livestock production at school while making me aware of the problems that producers are facing on a day-to-day basis. Outside of school and work I stay active playing golf, basketball and spending quality time with family and friends.

Dan Dorn
Executive Director
My family ran a farm in southwest Minnesota. This allowed me to be around animals from a young age and led me to pursue a career in the Ag field. I graduated from South Dakota State University with a degree in Agriculture Business and knew I wanted to work with not only animals but people too. This is one of the reasons my wife, Dr. Corale Dorn, and I opened Dells Vet. I’m passionate about helping producers reduce risk, increase their profitability, and make their life easier. Dell Rapids hasn’t just been a great community to work in but also to raise a famiy. We have three children, Justin, Emily, and Rebecca. I’m blessed to work with both amazing people and animals!

Macey Berg
Client Service Representative
My enjoyment of production agriculture came from growing up on a beef cattle farm. I also developed a love for working with both large and small animals which led to me earning a degree in Animal Science. I was familiar with Dells Vet since I was young so it made for a great fit after graduating from South Dakota State. At the front desk, I get to work with just about every one of our clients and help them with their questions or concerns. In my free time, my husband and I enjoy caring for a puppy Gertie, and cat Rosco. We also own a small farm that we’re proud to care for.

Stacey Klinnert
Client Service Representative
I grew up not too far from Dell Rapids in Sioux Falls. However, once I met my husband, we moved to an acreage near Baltic. Since I was little, I’ve always had a heart for animals as well as a passion for helping people. I had years of experience in the business world but being able to help both people and animals was intriguing and inspired me to join the Dells Vet team. As a Client Service Representative, I work with the technicians and the doctor to give our clients and patients the best care possible. Outside of the practice, I enjoy the great outdoors, being in the kitchen and gym, and most of all spending time with my husband, two dogs, and four cats!

Justin Dorn
Assistant Manager
I am the son of Dr. Dorn and Dan so Dells Vet has always been my second home. Not too surprising, I grew up with many pets and helped take care of them. At a young age, I grew a passion for helping animals as well as helping the people that take of them. I attended Wisconsin Lutheran College in Milwaukee and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. This helped me prepare for my position at Dells Vet. My job is to help keep the practice running smoothly and efficiently. This can range from taking care of clients at the front desk to assisting the doctor during appointments or even going out to process cattle. Outside of work, I love spending time with my Golden Retriever, Pete. He likes playing fetch and watching TV.

Jackie Nelson
Jackie has been in Dell Rapids for over 25 years. Her father, the late Dr. Nelson, would take her on all the farm calls. Jackie still enjoys going to the farms on her days off.
